Recent TTM Successes

Got a few envelopes back recently:

First of all, these cards are not that off centered, my printer cut some off and apparently added random white lines..

Steve Comer played for the Rangers from 1978 - 1984. Known for having 3 speeds, slow, slower and reverse, Steve managed to compile a record of 39 - 29 on the mound for the Rangers and 44 - 37 lifetime. Steve also spent time with the Phillies and the Indians.

Bobby Witt played for the Rangers from 1986 - 1992 and again from 1995 - 1998 going 104 - 104 for the Rangers and 142 - 157 lifetime. Bobby spent time with the A's, Marlins, Cardinals, Devil Rays, Indians, and finishing with the D-Backs. But hey, just look at that baby face.

That Was A Short Vaca

Been awhile since posting. Just haven't been wanting to I guess.

I think it has to do with how I have been posting basically just post team set photos, and I know no one has any particular desire to see all the Ranger cards from the 1992 Donruss set. Being new to blogging, you will have to forgive me. :)

Also getting back into the cards after a loooooong time, I am still trying to decide exactly how I want to store/display my cards. Up till now, I have been focusing on Donruss, and have gathered from '81 up till '94 with about 40 or 50 holes. I have them put into pages and in a binder starting from '81 and working forward. But I think I will be switching to a system based on years instead of manufacturer. Meaning all Rangers cards from '72 followed by all from '73 and so forth as opposed to a binder for Donruss, a binder for Topps, et al. I doubt it would take very long for me to screw that up by forgetting that such and such brand is a Topps brand for example.

In anticipation of doing it using a yearly system, I went ahead and placed a few orders for the majority of the '72 thru '82 of the big 3 to get me started.

And of course I plan on keeping up with my player collections which currently are Chris James, and anyone in the Texas Rangers Hall of Fame, of which I have begun my Charlie Hough and Toby Harrah collections. I know, I know, you are thinking "Chris James, why would anyone give a s**t about Chris James?". He was the first to pop into mind when I restarted collecting because when I was a kid and collecting cards, we both lived in Alto, TX. Our mothers were friends, with his mother volunteering for my mother who was an activities director at a nursing home. I am about 60 cards into that particular collection.

But that's enough for now, drop me a comment on how you prefer to store/display your collections, I would love to hear your ideas!

1992 Donruss Texas Rangers

Happy Tuesday! Today's addition as hinted at in the title is, you guessed it, 1992 Donruss. A little bit has changed for Donruss with this set, as the Rated Rookies are now mixed into the #'s and the former Highlights set is now a part of the base set. I don't mind the Highlights so much, but...Rated Rookies go behind the Diamond Kings!

Anyways here we go.

Toss in a few Rookies...

Till next time!

First TTM Success!

Came home to one of those neat SASE envelops today! I am really excited to see this TTM project get off the ground. And I hope to be able to add several more.

Sent this out on January 27, and got it today Febuary 1.

On a side note, I learned how to use the scanner function on my printer, lol!

Till next time!
